Mordecai fittingly challenged Esther, “And who knows whether you have
not attained royalty for such a time as this?” (Esther 4:14).
We,
the daughters of the King of kings are not only in a position of
royalty, but also serve as representatives of His Kingdom. Our eternal
King has providentially given us position, family, and friends “for
such a time as this.” Sometimes I get discouraged and feel like I am
not a very good representative for Him. But the longer I serve the Lord
the more convinced I am that God is always drawing individuals to
Himself and He is pleased to use me along the way. Sometimes when I
share the love of Messiah with people it doesn’t seem to make any impact
upon their lives. Nevertheless I have learned that God is faithful and
is always working behind the scenes.
We
should never give up on anyone that God has placed in our lives. God
taught me this through my Israeli friend. For over a decade I have been
praying for her. As I persistently shared the love of Messiah with her,
it seemed to be of no avail. She just could not see any relevance to
place her faith in Yeshua. At times, I felt discouraged because I deeply
cared for her.
Then one day unexpectedly, to my
surprise my Israeli friend accepted my invitation to come to a monthly
ladies fellowship that I lead in our Messianic congregation. When she
entered the home, she was overwhelmed by the love and acceptance. Her
first comment was, “I feel like I have come home, and it is like my
Jewish home.” That night through
His lovingkindness, the Lord drew
her to Himself.
In
just a couple of weeks she gave her heart to the Lord and now she is
being discipled by me. God not only hears our prayers, but also at His
appointed time answers them. I want to encourage you as well, to not
ever give up in prayer for your family and friends. The Lord has
providentially placed them in your life for such a time as this. God
desires to use you in the place where you are. So be faithful in your
witness as a child of the King, and He will bring the increase. Shalom.
