Prophecy
Isaiah 40:3
The voice of one crying in the wilderness: "Prepare the way of the LORD; Make
straight in the desert A highway for our God.
Malachi
3:1
Behold, I (God) will send my messenger, and he shall

Fulfillment
Matthew 3:1
In those days John the Baptist came preaching in the wilderness of Judea, 2
and saying, "Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand!" 3 For this is he
who was spoken of by the prophet Isaiah, saying: "The voice of one crying in
the wilderness: 'Prepare the way of the LORD; Make His paths
straight.' "
Luke
7:24-27
And
when the messengers of John (the Immerser) were departed, he began
to say unto the multitudes concerning John, What went ye out into the
wilderness to behold? a reed shaken with the wind? …But what went ye out
to see? a prophet? Yea, I say unto you, and much more than a prophet. This
is he of whom it is written, Behold, I send my messenger before thy face,
Who shall prepare thy way before thee.
Mark 11:15-17
15 So they came to Jerusalem. Then Yeshua went
into the temple and began to drive out those who bought and sold in the
temple, and overturned the tables of the money changers and the seats of
those who sold doves.16 And He would not allow anyone to carry wares
through the temple.
17 Then He taught, saying to them, "Is it not written, 'My house shall
be called a house of prayer for all nations'?

Zechariah
9:9
Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion; shout, O daughter of Jerusalem: behold, thy
King cometh unto thee: He is just, and having salvation; lowly,
and riding upon an ass, and upon a colt the foal of an ass.
Daniel 9:24-26
God's message through Daniel...
24 " Seventy weeks ("Seventy
'sevens' of years") are determined for your people (Israel/the Jewish
people) and for
your holy city (Jerusalem), To finish the transgression, To make an end of sins,
To make reconciliation for iniquity, To bring in everlasting righteousness, To
seal up vision and prophecy, And to anoint the Most Holy (Messiah).
25 "Know therefore and understand, That from the
going forth of the command To restore and build Jerusalem until Messiah the
Prince, There shall be seven weeks and sixty-two weeks; The street shall
be built again, and the wall, Even in troublesome times.
26 "And after the sixty-two weeks Messiah shall be cut
off, but not for Himself; And the people of the prince who is to come
Shall destroy the city and the sanctuary. The end of it shall be with a
flood, And till the end of the war desolations are determined.

Matthew 21:1-5
And when they drew nigh unto Jerusalem, and came unto Bethphage, unto the
mount of Olives, then Jesus sent two disciples, saying unto them, Go into
the village that is over against you, and straightway ye shall find an ass
tied, and a colt with her: loose them,
and bring them unto me. And if any
one say aught unto you, ye shall say, The Lord hath need of them; and
straightway he will send them.
Now this is come to pass, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken
through the prophet, saying, Tell ye the daughter of Zion, Behold, thy
King cometh unto thee, Meek, and riding upon an ass, And upon a colt the
foal of an ass.
Matthew 23:37-39
Yeshua said...
37 " O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, the one who kills the prophets and stones those
who are sent to her! How often I wanted to gather your children together, as
a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, but you were not willing!
38 "Behold! Your house is left to you
desolate; 39 "for I say to you, you shall see Me no more till you say,
'Blessed is He who comes in the name of the LORD!' " |
