The following is a ‘conversation’ Sam had with Ahmad*, who is of the Sufis, a mystical sect of Islam. Ahmad: One must be brain-washed to believe what it says on that web site. How do you sleep at night knowing your lying to yourself in life. God Bless you people. Sam: Actually, I sleep quite well, and have for many years --ever since I came to realize that the New Covenant Scriptures are true, fulfilling the Tenakh (Older Covenant), and that Yeshua (Jesus) is the Messiah, Ben Elohim (Son of God), who died for my sins. He has given me new life, an eternal relationship with God, more blessings than I could ever deserve. Yes, I sleep quite well. Thanks for asking. Sam Ahmad: What do you know about Sufism [Islamic mysticism]? You have gathered so much information about your religion, only but in reality there is so much more to know. I have read the bible and I have must agree to a lot of what it says. But in reality Islam completes every religion and the Quran is the sealer of all Religions. Sam: What do you about you sins against God? Ahmad: My sins with God, I look within and fix myself. Sam: Ahmad, there are three things that don’t work with your solution: 1) You have not made any atonement for the previous sins. You are a sinner; 2) You cannot “fix” yourself: your “broken” soul needs more than you can do; 3) You will only “fix” yourself as is good in your own sight, not according to God’ sight. You need a Savior. Only Messiah can bring the forgiveness in His atonement; can regenerate your soul and help you to live for God with joy and holiness! So, what do you about you sins against God? As we wait to hear back from Ahmad, please pray for him, that he will realize his need for atonement and forgiveness, and consider the claims Yeshua made about Himself. For the Good News is to the Jew first, and the Gentile also. “For by grace you have been saved, and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast” (Ephesians 2:8,9). |
